Karmic Sandals

Karmic Sandals - Pastel on 13" x 10" Canson Paper - These sandals were drawn in Florida sitting on the edge of a wall overlooking the ocean. When I had finished I looked to my left and a large, two foot reptile was watching me. I slowly turned toward him and did some quick sketches of him before he fled into the bushes. I later heard that they can bite .... just lucky I guess!

Morning Glow

Morning Glow - Oil on 10" x 8" Linen Board - This was painted for the Juried Riverboat Paint Out at Aitkin, MN. It was a cloudy morning looking across Surgar Lake in front of a boat house on the shore line. I was exhausted and needed to keep the painting very simple. I love what happened. So, I have decided that I just shouldn't get any sleep and I won't have energy to add too many objects to a painting. This painting is at the Jaques Gallery www,jaquesart.com for purchase imformation.

Figure Study at Taos

Figure Study at Taos - Oil on 11" x 14" Belgium Linen - I just got back from taking a workshop with Sherri McGraw at the Donner Ranch in San Cristobal, NM. I learned so much I just can't wait to paint to see if I can apply what I was taught. This was one of the figures that we painted from life. All painted in north light only.... so different and yet it was so exciting to learn from such a master painter!

Time Out - Oil on 8" x 6" Raymar Linen Panel - This was the first painting that I did for the Grand Marais Paint out. I was down by the bay and these two boats just caught my attention. I put the detail in the boats and left the rest of the painting to your imagination. It was the start of a lot of hard work and many days of painting! If you are interested in this painting please email me at kgrevich@gmail.com.
